the plastic piece in the middle is useless and falls out when you wash it or even when you open the lid and flip it upside down. good quality plastic (pretty thick) and holds a lot. my work horse.

1st Customer Review : Ideal storage and microwave solution
The 20-year old Melamine microwave container with lid that I had been using recently broke, and I discovered that style of microwave cookware isn't made anymore. I needed something that would go from refrigerator to microwave and vice versa, and I wanted it to "nest" for storage so it wouldn't take up too much space in the cupboard. I ordered four sets of this product, and threw away all the mis-matched plastic containers and lids I'd been using. I've had this for about two weeks now, and it has been great for steaming vegetables in the microwave, reheating meals, and storing the leftovers. I'm very satisfied with my purchase, and recommend these for anyone who uses the microwave a lot.

1st Customer Review : Good after you do some initial work
They're good, and I didn't find that the handles are too hot after 7 min. in the microwave. And happily they are freezer safe. But when I got my set, one of the steam-vent knobs had fallen off...and it took a while to get it to go back on correctly. And, of course you'd know to wash anything first before using it on food...but this company put a notice 'to do so' prominently on the bottom of one container...and they meant it! Washing them in hot soapy water revealed some kind of 'filmy' coating that soap and water alone wouldn't remove. But some firm rubbing with paper towles, and the coating finally came off.

I love this set! Received them this morning, washed them and used them within the hour. Color is true to the illustration. I especially like the adjustable vent in each lid. So much better than having to pry up a section of the lid while microwaving to vent steam. Read the instructions. These containers cannot go in the freezer. Refrigerator and microwave only--just what I wanted.

Bought this to replace a set of Anchor Hocking microwave bowls. Prefer the Anchor Hocking, but could not find the same product, so bought this set. They work. Food does not stick so clean-up is great. Cover remains very hot - so be careful removing. Handles get hot - so use potholders. Still like the Anchor Hocking, but I am adjusting.

Enh - it's plaisdhig cookware, y'ken? It's cheap and effective and dishwasher-safe; all in, it does what I wanted of it. (Some may find the wee steam-vents on the top useful; I don't.) Recommended if this sort of thing is what you are looking for (they do nest nicely in the cupboard).

I bought these to replace some older microwave cookware that seems to have vanished over the years. This set is ideal. The pieces are very durable and the lids fit tight. The black caps on top allow the heated air to escape during cooking. I expect I'll buy another set shortly.
3rd Customer Review : NO STARS!! WHAT JUNK!!
These are so cheaply made and they don't even make anything close to an airtight seal! Total junk and a total waste of $$$ - I gave them away to Goodwill after about 2 months but I should have just tossed them in the trash rather than inflicting them on some other poor soul! DO NOT BUY THIS CRAP!!!!
