So far I've purchased two of these for our plant lunchroom, they are simple to operatate and still working after three months of service. The real test will be how long they last because the standard home-duty units only last about one to two years. I am pleased enough to purchase another.

Don't buy. My experience with this Panasonic microwave (Model NE-1054F)has been terrable. We had it for 1 month before we had to ship it back for service. After it was repaired and sent back, we used it about 1 week before it had to be sent back again. After it was repaired again it was shipped back with the door misaligned. When I called Panasonic, I was given a new phone number to call which was never answered. Based on our experience, we would not recommend that you purchase it.

I originally had the Panasonic Dial timer model. It was good, but the touch pad is accurate every time. Quite honestly, the Dial timer would be good in a break room or near a vending machine, my waitresses like this because the touchpads are real consistent and easy to use.

1st Customer Review : Seems Like a Solid Unit
I don't own this unit but use it at a hospital where it serves in the break room of a department of around 50 people. As such it gets alot of use and isn't well taken care of. Still it seems to perform without any issues for over the two plus years it has been here. It is solid and probably weighing 50+ lbs. I particularly like the turn knob which enables dialing in the desired cook time quickly and without fuss. Despite not having a turntable it seems to heat quite evenly. The absence of all those other seldom used features - timer, power level setting, one touch buttons, etc. - I see as a positive.

There is another one of these units in the hospital cafeteria where it is subjected to the general public abuse of countless patient visitors and hospital staff who don't give a damn about another's property. It has been rock solid reliable for over 3 years. At least in a commercial restaurant, the employees are trained and motivated by the owner not to abuse the...

2nd Customer Review : good little oven
I had the more expensive programable version of this oven for 11 years before it died. I didn't want to spend that much money again so I decided to try this version. I like the look of the front better with the dial it is more retro looking (this is in my home). The two downsides are that this version only has stainless on the front panel, the sides are painted grey, and since they show in my kichen it is ugly, but I did remove the stainless housing from my old oven and switched with the grey, it fit perfectly and once I figured out how it was held on it was quite easy to replace. So now it is all stainless. The only other thing I don't like is that the light doesn't come on when you are cooking! So you can't see if things are bubbling. The light comes on only when you open the door, but only then. The other version, (and I'm sure most microwaves made today) have a light that comes on during cooking.
Aside from my two gripes the oven works great, I love the small size, it fits...
