I've used it nearly every day since purchase. It works very well as an oven and as a microwave. I've also used the top and bottom grill with great success. I worried it wasn't going to heat, brown or bake sufficiently-but it does it all very well. The micro features work flawlessly and it cleans very easily as well. I am a chief cook and bottle washer in New England and I am a proficient cook. I saved nearly $100 by ordering it-it was $399+ in stores.

I acquired this microwave when I was moving to a flat with limited kitchen space, and my primary reason for the choice was that the Sharp model was multi-functional. Since I've begun using it, I happily have ceased to sing a requiem for the toaster oven, separate grill, and other items I was 'consolidating' in this purchase.

I have used the Sharp microwave for grilling and roasting, as well as normal microwave functions, and the results are better than I could have expected. Grilled and roasted foods are extremely tender and juicy - at least of the quality one could expect from a conventional oven. I have had similar success with cooking vegetables.

Reheating muffins and breads has amazing results - they seem fresh baked and, unlike breads normally heated in a microwave, do not harden in a minute. 2nd Customer Review : After 1 year, it's become the best kitchen tool I own!
When my old (22 years) microwave died, I could've replaced it with another, especially since they'd gone 'way down in price/watt. But I'd used a convection oven (which went with my ex-wife), and I really wanted my own. I found the Sharp Grill-2 Convection, among others, but decided to purchase it mainly because of Sharp's overall good reputation. It offered a powerful microwave, a convection oven (cooking with super-heated air), and a grill to brown the outside of whatever I was cooking. I should've bought a lottery ticket that day! First let me say that I got a killer deal right here on Amazon. I paid $204 with shipping included. The unit arrived in tact although the box was a little beat up. So much so that I had to unpack it outside. Now onto the review. The unit is very heavy and well constructed. The majority of the weight comes from what appears to be a commercial grade convection motor. I lugged the unit inside and put it on a utility cart with the back facing a window. I unpacked the contents, which were securely stowed inside the unit. Contents included a porcelain coated turntable, rotary mechanism for the turntable and a circular raised rack for grilling. I plugged it in and it immediately displayed instructions on how to set the clock. That was cake so now it was time to cook something! Despite what others may say, you do have to read the manual to do just about anything (except setting the clock) because the unit uses special codes for different foods, i.e 1 for pork, 2 for chicken, 3 for humans and...

The Microhearth Grill Pan brings a whole new dimension to microwave cooking. I received this item as a gift. Now I cook all meats in the microwave. Kebobs come out great. The cooker leaves grill marks. No more messy oven from broiling meats! I usually cook non seafood items for 3 minutes then I turn and decide the amount of time the item needs to finish cooking.

Easy to clean. Just wipe out, that's it.

The only improvement I would make would be to have the steam vents on the opposite end from the spot you grip the handle to lift the lid. That is a small thing compared to the convenience of the cooker.

Great addition to the kitchen for cooking for 1 or 2 people.

Have used the Steamwave for 1 1/2 years and it's fantastic. Incredible job at steaming fish. Delicious and easy. I use this at least 3x per week and it is so much healthier than other methods of cooking. As long as you keep up with the basic maintenance of discarding the unused water after each use (a 30 second task), and de-scaling it every few months (an automated process) it will last.

Unit arrived one day early in good condition. Understandably there is no turntable but it seems to heat evenly when using microwave only which is, of course, it's main use. I have steamed vegies with steam only and I'm completely satisfied. I expected issues when steaming, since the food is placed directly on one of the included stainless trays and the whole cavity is filled with steam, but it works well. I've used " Healthy Cook ", which uses micro-steam-grill in an automatic fashion, twice with good results. Grilling only hasn't been used yet, updates on that and the results of a " marshmallow test " for micro heat distribution later........ My one reason for not giving it five stars is the puny audio of the notification tone. It is very low volume, quite easy to miss.... At this point I'm pleased with the purchase.

Oven is very unique with its 3 features. The steam oven seems to work very well I will post an update later but so far this is avery good value for what you are getting anc companred to built in steam ovens this seems to produce the same output at far less cost. So far I would highly reccomend, can save many pots and pans for steaming!

I have been watching this product and waiting for a review for months. Took the plunge and bought the Red colored grill. Happy so far: cooked filet mignon, tomatoes and bacon . All were delicious but without a comprehensive cookbook it is really trial and error. I will try fish today. Clean up is very easy. Love, love love this grill pan! I live in Arizona and sometimes it is so hot outside that we don't want to BBQ. But I don't feel like cooking inside because it heats the house up so much. I decided to check if there was anything new in the way of microwave cooking.

I'm glad I did. I mainly bought it to grill fish and chicken but I'm very happy it does so much more. The user guide includes 18 recipes including Grilled Fish, Lemon Grilled Chicken, and Tuna Melt, Fish Tacos, Sizzlin' Steak Fajitas, etc. It also has some yummy looking deserts. I can't wait to try the Berry Good Shortcakes and the Grilled Peaches & Cream.

Tonight I reheated pizza. No more soggy leftover pizza!

It mostly makes servings for 2.

I like that is is a heavier weight and very well built. It cooks fast and cleans very easily. I love the lime green color. I'm very happy with my purchase.
