1st Customer Review : Very good Microwave and top notch seller.
Very good Microwave. Heats quickly and evenly and has some nice modern features. Best of all, you can program the sound to silent so no annoying beeps if you don't want them. Can't understand why other brands don't have this useful feature.
MIcrowave was delivered on time but it had an issue I couldn't fix -- so called the seller (Robert Shirley) in KY and he actually answered the phone. We talked about the problem and he immediately shipped another unit which has worked perfectly. Can't say enough about this seller and Amazon. The unit is slightly noisy so not giving 5 stars but a solid 4. I recommend this model and this seller. Very satisfied.

2nd Customer Review : Good value, good oven
The unit has a bit smaller interior than anticipated since it is listed as a Large Countertop Microwave, but the oven is ample for our basic needs. It doesn't have lots of flourishes like its more expensive relatives, but it does all that is necessary. Even heating, simple controls, and easy to clean.

It is a good, basic microwave for a low price.
3rd Customer Review : Fix The Wobble
Overall good microwave. Except, like other reviews, the base must have been stamped with a warp built in. I had to put a wedge under one of the back feet for it to sit level on my counter top. If I hadn't been without a microwave for so long, I probably would have returned it.

Easy viewing while heating if you aren't sure of the correct setting. Stainless steel looks really elegant

Ok, this is a work horse since September 2008 for Lunch and Dinner 7 days a week.

A bunch of presets. It has the rotating tray to heat evenly - set it and forget it. Very easy clean up.

Super quick to heat. Under a minute to melt cheese, 3 minutes to super heat anything out of the refrigerator.

I do not recommend, this exact unit lasted 1 year and 1 month and died.
It worked great until its untimely death. The Megatron unit is warranted for
5 years, but I have to pay labor after 1st year, and I am sure Sears will charge more than
what a new microwave would cost.
3rd Customer Review : ehhh.. supposedly new but not according to the looks
the product seems cheap but its on par with what this is supposed to be. i wouldn't say this is any special unit even though consumer reports gives it a best buy rating. upon inital inspection the door was dented in the upper left corner. the door did not align properly and when operating you could see the light escaping from inside the unit along the hinged side of the door seem. if you like microwaving yourself, you'd love it. i had to remove the door and do some door aligning on my own with a rubber mallet and a hefty pliers. i have no idea if this fell off the back of a truck or what the situation was but be warned. unit was listed as new and the seller seemed to go out of their way to mark the box as such. if it lasts 5 years i'll be thrilled. sad but that's the product china is putting out these days.

1st Customer Review : BEWARE.........
I first bought this microwave in white, many years ago. When we bought a new house everything in the new house was black, so we left our beloved white microwave behind and bought the same model, only in black.

It has a 1 year parts/labor warranty and a 5 year magnetron warranty. THIS microwave started to make the most gawd awful horrible noise at about 8 months and I never could get hubby to take it in to Sears before the 1 year warranty expired. Needless to say it became SO LOUD it was like being parked at the airport on the runway during takeoff! I've never heard something so loud in an appliance in my life. I was afraid to even be in the same room with it while it was running!! It would be $80 at least to have Sears look at a microwave we already paid $180 for (with tax) and I just decided I would rather get another one. So I just bought this same microwave for the THIRD TIME direct from sears, way more than here on Amazon (sigh). And this will be the last time if...

Love it!!! Our microwave which we had for 38 years (and no problems) finally breathed its last breath so we were not really familiar with the current microwave market. 1st Customer Review : Good Idea, not now...........
This reveiw may come across as being contradictory, but it accurate. First of all my Wife loves the microwave. In the summer she puts pizza, fish sticks, fries, etc.. into the pizza drawer. The pizza drawer cooks well and evenly, without heating up the entire house. The Microwave portion of the unit works as designed. You put food in the microwave and seconds later, it comes out hot. I know that was not a technical description, but it basically works as one expects a Microwave to work. So it is a good idea and my wife swears by the concept, however......

However the Unit is going back to the shop for its second repair. Right underneath the microwave door their is a plastic plate, the looks like metal. Twice the plastic plate has split wide open. The microwave continues to work, but we are unsure if there is any leakage of the microwave, due to this crack. When we took it in the first time, a technician knew the exact reason we were bringing it in, before we opened...

My Sharp Microwave finally bit the dust and off to Sears I went for a replacement. I got that replacement Sharp microwave home and it didn't work. At all. No power. Zilch. Sooooo....took it back and happened to see this Kenmore Microwave/Pizza oven combo and thought "What the heck? I'll give it a try...price is right...on sale about $139." Well, it has turned out to be one of the best items I have ever bought for the house. SO versatile. the microwave is, well, a typical microwave but does the job and does it well. It is a bit loud but that is not an issue for us. The Pizza oven does an incredible job cooking pizzas...frozen self-rising crust pizzas, fresh pizzas, whatever, it cooks them to a "T". I am not sure how this works but it really does. It cooks frozen potatoes like Alessia potato wedges, etc. beautifully. Cooks biscuits and rolls beautifully. My old microwave was just old and I didn't like it. So I started looking for a new one. I came across this one and was instantly intrigued. I also got it on sale at $139 and it was completely worth it. I read some reviews about some plastic thing melting on different websites, but after owning this microwave for 1 and 1/2 years, using the "pizza oven" literally everyday, it has functioned flawlessly from day one. Also, there is no plastic piece above the oven drawer. I don't know what that other person is referring to because the drawer and everything around it is metal.

Good product for the money. The microwave has to be held in place while opening the door so a non slip item underneath might be better. It was packaged in the original box which was also used for mailing with lots of tape. A little disappointed as it was given as gift.

It has a 1 year parts/labor warranty and a 5 year magnetron warranty. THIS microwave started to make the most gawd awful horrible noise at about 8 months and I never could get hubby to take it in to Sears before the 1 year warranty expired. Needless to say it became SO LOUD it was like being parked at the airport on the runway during takeoff! I've never heard something so loud in an appliance in my life. I was afraid to even be in the same room with it while it was running!! It would be $80 at least to have Sears look at a microwave we already paid $180 for (with tax) and I just decided I would rather get another one. Love it!!! Our microwave which we had for 38 years (and no problems) finally breathed its last breath so we were not really familiar with the current microwave market. 1st Customer Review : Powerful Little Microwave
I bought this microwave in black. Its small enough that it does not take up too much space in small apartment. Its powerful enough to heat up food thoroughly as much as my large over the range microwave did. Average sized plates fit in the microwave, but I tried a bit of an oversized plate and it fit, but the plate did not have enough room to spin. Basically just use the normal sized dinner plates and you will have no problem. The microwave door opens with the handle. The buttons are easy to use and easy to find everything you need. The display is bright green, and you can see it in the dark if you need see the time. I have had this microwave for about a month. I will probably never use the popcorn function (I have a whirley pop), so I can't state how it pops microwave popcorn. I reviewed many micro's before buying this one, and I am happy with this buy.

2nd Customer Review : Compact unit, performs well
I was very surprised at the price of this Kenmore microwave offered on Amazon, because I ordered the exact same model (69079) directly from Sears. The oven alone cost $59.00 and with shipping and tax the total price was $76.68.

This model cooks at 700 watts but because of the small size of .7 cubic feet heats stuff as quickly as my old Sharp 1.2 cubic feet which cooked at 900 watts. The model has a child lock and the usual cooking selections, such as quick touch for popcorn, potatoes, frozen entrees, fresh vegetables, etc. You can also perform multi-stage cooking. The key pad is sensitive to a slight touch, you do not have to poke hard.

I am giving this micro five stars although I haven't had the oven for very long. If the unit does not hold up well I'll adjust the stars, but so far I am very happy with my choice!
3rd Customer Review : Uses a lot more power then you expect
It's a nice little microwave oven intended for places like dorm rooms. We unboxed ours today before we take our kid back to college and put pop corn in; it did very well. Only problem was that it is so small inside the popcorn bag got caught and stopped turning.

Bigger problem; it's quite noisy.

Biggest problem; this microwave designed to put out 700 watts of cooking power actually consumes about 1060 watts when hooked up to a wattmeter. That's far higher then most colleges want microwave ovens to be consuming. Once you buy it and read the manual you'll see it 'consumes 1000 watts' - but even that's not accurate. So in some dorm rooms kids using this will be blowing circuits.

I do understand; no one puts real power consumption on the box or description. If you are lucky you find it in the specs - in the manual. And in this case even that information is wrong.

Very good Microwave. Heats quickly and evenly and has some nice modern features. Best of all, you can program the sound to silent so no annoying beeps if you don't want them. Can't understand why other brands don't have this useful feature.
MIcrowave was delivered on time but it had an issue I couldn't fix -- so called the seller (Robert Shirley) in KY and he actually answered the phone. We talked about the problem and he immediately shipped another unit which has worked perfectly. Can't say enough about this seller and Amazon. The unit is slightly noisy so not giving 5 stars but a solid 4. I recommend this model and this seller. Very satisfied.

The unit has a bit smaller interior than anticipated since it is listed as a Large Countertop Microwave, but the oven is ample for our basic needs. It doesn't have lots of flourishes like its more expensive relatives, but it does all that is necessary. Even heating, simple controls, and easy to clean.

It is a good, basic microwave for a low price.

Overall good microwave. Except, like other reviews, the base must have been stamped with a warp built in. I had to put a wedge under one of the back feet for it to sit level on my counter top. If I hadn't been without a microwave for so long, I probably would have returned it.

This is a very good looking, full powered microwave. It has a lot of special features that we may never use, but they're there if we want them. The main reason I love this oven is because it is large enough to hold a 9"x13" pan. The turntable works great and the oven is fairly quiet. I'm very glad to have purchased it at such a low price.

I ordered microwave from 4 to 1 Wholesale. It arrived with who cracks on the inside which after speaking with the company, we both agreed this cracking happend during delivery. They immediately sent out another with profuse apologies. Unfortunately, the second one would not heat up. Understandbly frustrated, I contact the company and they completely agreed to send another or refund both my shipping and the cost of the item. I am sending back the second one as it is probably a matter of the magnatron being jostled. I explained I needed it before the weekend and another arrived by Friday - in perfect working order. The company completely stands behind thier products even when the problem is not necessarily thiers to remedy. The microwave works beautifully and the customer service was aces. 1st Customer Review : Can you love a microwave???
We wanted a bigger microwave and Kenmore is my brand of choice in the kitchen. It's stronger than my old .7 cu ft one, but that to expect and I like having things done quicker. The inside is perfect for my bean pot from celebrating homes and any other dish I have wanted to microwave. The convenience buttons are just that, the guide to use them is inside the door of the microwave so no need to keep the user manual handy. As usual happy with my kenmore!

2nd Customer Review : Another great purchase through Amazon
I purchased this product after reviewing microwaves listed in Consumers Reports. So far we feel that the Kenmore is better than what was laid out in the review. We are totally satisfied with this product.
3rd Customer Review : You can turn the sound off! But I exhanged it. There's one problem.
This microwave is great except for one thing. The gear that the turn table sits on is made of cheap plastic and it broke after a short time. We took it back to Sears and exchanged it for the next model up. Which is the Kenmore Elite 79152. It was $20.00 more but the glass plate is made so that it conforms to the rotating gear which is also much sturdier than the cheaper model. The cheaper model just has a flat glass plate that sits on the flimsy gear. It's really a bad design. Other than that the two models work exactly the same. And I'm happy with the Kenmore Elite 79152.

I searched online for a midsize countertop microwave that had a feature that enabled me to turn off the sound. Our old Sharp had this feature which was very useful for us since I like to get up much earlier than my husband. I like to let him sleep but also need to use the microwave to make my oatmeal. Basically just use the normal sized dinner plates and you will have no problem. The microwave door opens with the handle. The buttons are easy to use and easy to find everything you need. The display is bright green, and you can see it in the dark if you need see the time. I have had this microwave for about a month. I will probably never use the popcorn function (I have a whirley pop), so I can't state how it pops microwave popcorn. I reviewed many micro's before buying this one, and I am happy with this buy.

2nd Customer Review : Compact unit, performs well
I was very surprised at the price of this Kenmore microwave offered on Amazon, because I ordered the exact same model (69079) directly from Sears. The oven alone cost $59.00 and with shipping and tax the total price was $76.68.

This model cooks at 700 watts but because of the small size of .7 cubic feet heats stuff as quickly as my old Sharp 1.2 cubic feet which cooked at 900 watts. The model has a child lock and the usual cooking selections, such as quick touch for popcorn, potatoes, frozen entrees, fresh vegetables, etc. You can also perform multi-stage cooking. The key pad is sensitive to a slight touch, you do not have to poke hard.

I am giving this micro five stars although I haven't had the oven for very long. If the unit does not hold up well I'll adjust the stars, but so far I am very happy with my choice!
3rd Customer Review : Uses a lot more power then you expect
It's a nice little microwave oven intended for places like dorm rooms. We unboxed ours today before we take our kid back to college and put pop corn in; it did very well. Only problem was that it is so small inside the popcorn bag got caught and stopped turning.

Bigger problem; it's quite noisy.

Biggest problem; this microwave designed to put out 700 watts of cooking power actually consumes about 1060 watts when hooked up to a wattmeter. That's far higher then most colleges want microwave ovens to be consuming. Once you buy it and read the manual you'll see it 'consumes 1000 watts' - but even that's not accurate. So in some dorm rooms kids using this will be blowing circuits.

I do understand; no one puts real power consumption on the box or description. If you are lucky you find it in the specs - in the manual. And in this case even that information is wrong.

1st Customer Review : Good Idea, not now...........
This reveiw may come across as being contradictory, but it accurate. First of all my Wife loves the microwave. In the summer she puts pizza, fish sticks, fries, etc.. into the pizza drawer. The pizza drawer cooks well and evenly, without heating up the entire house. The Microwave portion of the unit works as designed. You put food in the microwave and seconds later, it comes out hot. I know that was not a technical description, but it basically works as one expects a Microwave to work. So it is a good idea and my wife swears by the concept, however......

However the Unit is going back to the shop for its second repair. Right underneath the microwave door their is a plastic plate, the looks like metal. Twice the plastic plate has split wide open. The microwave continues to work, but we are unsure if there is any leakage of the microwave, due to this crack. 2nd Customer Review : AMAZING multi-use Microwave/pizza oven/toaster oven is SWEET!
My Sharp Microwave finally bit the dust and off to Sears I went for a replacement. I got that replacement Sharp microwave home and it didn't work. At all. No power. Zilch. Sooooo....took it back and happened to see this Kenmore Microwave/Pizza oven combo and thought "What the heck? I'll give it a try...price is right...on sale about $139." 3rd Customer Review : It's big, but it's freakin awesome!
My old microwave was just old and I didn't like it. So I started looking for a new one. I came across this one and was instantly intrigued. I also got it on sale at $139 and it was completely worth it. I read some reviews about some plastic thing melting on different websites, but after owning this microwave for 1 and 1/2 years, using the "pizza oven" literally everyday, it has functioned flawlessly from day one. Also, there is no plastic piece above the oven drawer. I don't know what that other person is referring to because the drawer and everything around it is metal.

The easiest clock reset of any appliance - 3 clicks and done!

My favorite is the one touch button - one touch to add a minute.

Easy viewing while heating if you aren't sure of the correct setting.

Ok, this is a work horse since September 2008 for Lunch and Dinner 7 days a week.

A bunch of presets. It has the rotating tray to heat evenly - set it and forget it. Very easy clean up.

Super quick to heat. Under a minute to melt cheese, 3 minutes to super heat anything out of the refrigerator.

2nd Customer Review : intelligent microwave
This microwave practically eliminates the need to think. It is able to program what you want it to do when you touch the proper buttons and is so sensitive to whatever is in the oven that the result is perfect. I do not normally wax enthusiastic about machinery but the Kenmore is a winner - and it is good looking as well. I cannot believe I read the stats on all the available machines and was smart enough to choose this one.

I bought this a little over a month ago, and it's worked like a charm since day 1. It has plenty of space for anything/everything that I would ever want to cook in it (including my frozen Jacks Pizzas), and I haven't had a single issue with it, so for $90 I couldn't be happier. I did a fair bit of research before buying this guy, and after doing my due diligence, it seemed like a pretty safe choice in terms of reliability, and when you throw in the fact that it's reasonably sized and still comes in under 100 bucks, I really don't think you're going to do much better in terms of bang for your buck.

1st Customer Review : NO PROBLEMS
Not an objective review from the previous reviewer. That was an apparent "sick puppy" to begin with. It's obvious that the unit was not new from the get go or it still would have been under factory warranty.

Mine is now three years old. It looks spotless (thanks to me), and all functions perform perfectly. Only gripe is the preheat time for cooking in convection mode. Takes about 10 minutes to heat to 425-450 degrees. Not a deal breaker.

I just moved to a new house, and this one did not have a microwave. I browsed the local market and found none of the models available had a handle on the door to open it. Everyone had a button to press instead. This was exactly what I was looking for and am very happy with my purchase. The size is perfect.
3rd Customer Review : Broke down the first month
I was familiar with this product because I purchased one from SEARS for my office. It worked great. I loved the fact that it's both a convection oven and a microwave. I tried to save a few dollars and bargain shop. I ordered the next one from Amazon - BAD IDEA. Things did not work out so good. It worked for about a month and then it would no longer heat food. I contacted the vendor and they told me there was nothing they could do. They gave me the number to Kenmore. Kenmore is coming to look at it and it will cost me around $130 JUST TO LOOK AT IT - it is not under warranty (although the vendor said it was new????????????????). $130 is about the amount I "saved" ordering it from the vendor on Amazon. I should have got it from SEARS. ):
