1st Customer Review : Beautiful, but flimsy in parts
The bottom of the drawer and of the cart itself are extremely flimsy, so this cart will be great for storing paper plates and similar, but I would not store anything heavier in the bottom compartment. Oddly, the shelf within the cabinet is strong and beautiful, and I would put something heavier on it like canned goods. It is disappointment, though, to have such a flimsy bottom --- it really seems like if you dropped a can opener in the drawer from a height of 4 inches, it would go through the bottom of the drawer. I planned to store pots in it, and am disappointed that I won't be able to in the end. But I need to store my paper goods somewhere, so this will be it! It is beautiful on the top, though, and was not too hard to put together, although the instructions were a bit obscure.

The drawer is shallow, but big enough to hold things like a silverware holder if you put them width-wise instead of length-wise as in a normal drawer. The top of the cart is very very thick and...

For assemble-it-yourself furniture, this unit is remarkably nice-looking and sturdy. Except for the thin side paneling, the wood is very strong and sturdy. The color is true to the color as it appears on my monitor; a lovely, soft, honey blonde. All of the pre-drilled holes lined up where they were supposed to except for one hole at the top. The top is very sturdy in spite of the fact that I had to leave a screw out of one front corner to put a narrow shim between the the top and the side to raise the top at that corner about 1/16th of an inch. Without this adjustment the drawer would not open and close properly. All the fasteners are standard, run-of-the-mill, every day types of screws and bolts you can buy at any hardware store. A simple Allen wrench is the only driver needed and one comes with the fasteners. The casters wheel freely and seem sturdy enough to last through a fair amount of abuse. I compared several other kitchen carts and I liked this one the best because it matches my other cabinet decor and handles. I also liked the dimensions. It's not too large so it fits nicely in my kitchen next to my stove. I keep my cookbooks on the shelves below and I have a dish towel on the rack. I don't think it was made for paper towels. I keep potholders in the drawer. The casters look pretty good although it still moves around slightly on my tile floor. My toddler likes opening and closing the doors so hopefully it will withstand that. Overall I'm pleased with my purchase.

1st Customer Review : Awesome little kitchen island
I absolutly love my new kitchen island. It is exactly what I needed. The wood is a beautiful color and goes perfect with my kitchen. It wasn't hard to put together, 20 minutes tops. It's solid wood, nothing cheap. It's not huge, but fits my appliances perfect. The middle and bottom shelf are not too tall. My coffee maker is bearly to big to fit so I put it on top. The best judgement I can give you in size is take a normal blender and take off the jar part and the machine base of the blender and it fits nice on the middle shelf and/or bottom shelf with a few inches to spare. So I fit my toaster, blender (both parts), and george forman on one shelf and my 2quart crock pot and rice maker on the bottom shelf. With my juicer and cofee maker on top because they are too tall to fit on the shelfs. I hope I gave you guys a good idea with size while explaining what I had on it. Over all good space saver while on a budget. I looked around and this to me is the best deal for the price.

I recently purchased this microwave cart and I am extremely pleased with it. My other cart was damaged in a move, so I went looking for a replacement......that in itself was an ordeal. I finally found this one and was quite shocked to find out that it was mostly (not 100%) true wood instead of OSB, and the price was extremely great (thanks Amazon and sorry for using extremely twice)! Assembly though was a bit of an operation....my daughter and I started it, but were quite thankful when my husband pitched in, as it was getting a bit heavy and awkward to handle. This is a well thought out and very nicely made piece of furniture. It is solid and very pretty assembled! Buy it, you won't regret it!

1st Customer Review : Good Once Built
Looks good, works well, but knocked off a star because of the particle-board shelves, and the instructions are laughably lacking -- just the back and front of a single piece of paper. Here are some handy tips they leave out:

-- Put the wheel casters on first, because you have to hammer them on.
-- You can put the two wire grids on last because they're bendable.
-- The holes on the bottom of the second shelf aren't aligned right, so you need to drill two correct ones.
-- One of the shelves is a tiny bit less wide as the others, and that's the one you use for the pull-out third shelf.

Oh, and the power strip only has ungrounded sockets (two prongs), so to plug in a microwave, you'll need a 3-prong grounded adapter. Picked one up at Home Depot for under a buck, though I'm sure there are some on Amazon.

Nice item, but bit of a hassle to assemble.

This was extremely well-packed and so arrived with no damage of any sort. It took patience to put together, as there are many pieces while the directions and diagrams are not as clear as they should be. Once assembled, though, it is strong, sturdy and stable. I am sorry the shelves and drawer are particleboard, but that is to be expected in something this modestly-priced. Altogether I am very pleased with this item. It looks good, and it nicely holds the microwave, some pots and pans, and plenty of kitchen odds and ends while having a "small footprint". I'd recommend it to anyone who needs to add useful storage / work space to a smallish kitchen at a very reasonable cost.

I was pretty underwhelmed with this once it was all put together. Most of the pieces seem chincy (the black grates on the side, for example, are completely flexible where I thought they would be solid.)The handle on the front of the cart screws in crooked, and some of the metal frame was dinged up from shipping. It really just looks cheap, especially for the price. But, since my goal was to create more storage in my too small kitchen, it did accomplish that. Cheap fix until we can afford to upgrade the kitchen, but still disappointed in the overall look and quality of this piece.

I purchased a new stove, and it does not have the space between the burners that the older stoves had. I really needed a small table to work on next to the stove. This cart was the perfect size. I ended up taking the wheels off and just putting rubber tips on the legs because I did not want the cart to move, and even with the locks on the wheels there was some jiggling. The cart is sturdy enough for my purposes. The top seems to be a laminate. I do treat it carefully. I put pot holders down under baking dishes when I take something out of the oven and put it out on the cart for "help yourself." It is easy to clean-the wire shelves do not accumulate dust. I did not want to spend a lot of money for what I was planning to use the cart for. It certainly was worth the price. No problem with assembly-it did not take very long. It is optional to apply the handle. It is a good extra towel rack in the kitchen.

1st Customer Review : Buyer Beware
Ok so I read all of the reviews before purchasing this cart. And I would just like to say... what did I miss?? I know that you get what you pay for, but at a hundred bucks and $41 something for shipping I AT LEAST expected something that came with WRITTEN INSTRUCTIONS!! I also expected something a little more than the paper mache' this is made of. No matter how delicately I worked, this thing tore apart at almost every screw!! After 3 hours of my life, that I will never get back, I finally had it put together. I was really won by the thought that this has an electrical outlet only to be disappointed that it"s only two pronged! This is a microwave cart, however every microwave I have ever owned has always had a 3 pronged electrical cord! I will have to be extremely careful dusting and keeping this clean as a part of the front just tore through when assembling one of the side panels! And to top it all off I have 2 screws left over that is suppose to be assembled to the outlet some...

I purchased this utility cart for my kitchen over a month ago and just found the time to do a review. It was shipped within the time period specified. = 1 star. Once received, I put it together myself and experienced no problems. 2 stars. I was beginning to accumulate clutter on the counters ie. food processor, toaster, smoothie blender, knife sharpener. So I thought this cart would be great to hold all that stuff I use on a regular basis. It sits at the end of a L-shape counter and really does not take up much room. 3rd star. The finish was great, and the width and depth of the shelves provided a really good amount of space. 4th star. The wheels on the cart makes it very portable, and the wheels move with ease. 5th star. I am really pleased with this purchase. It provides an alternative for all that "other" stuff and my counters are neat and much more appealing to me. Recommend this item very much!!!!

2nd Customer Review : Good, but some assembly problems
Assembly should have been a 1/2 hour snap. Instead it was over an hour (with two of us working). Some of the screw holes on the side didn't line up 100%. But the screws still went in - were just a little tight because of the misalignment. I'm not sure if there's quality control issues at the factory, or the wood warped a little during travel. The second issue was with one of the bottom shelves. They are comprised of several slats, and 3 crosspieces underneath. The slats are stapled to the crosspieces from the factory (they staple it diagonally and from the bottom, so don't worry, you don't see the staples at all). One of the slats wasn't stapled correctly, and thus, the one slat was warped and wavy. I had to put screws into that slat from underneath to attach it firmly to the crosspiece and pull it in tight. This cart has solid construction and good design. I bought it mainly as a microwave cart and it is working well for that purpose. The two racks underneath are great for storing often used pots and pans. I'm not sure how it holds ups as a cutting surface. My guess is that it might be a little wobbly for serious cutting, but it can probably handle its share of slicing.

2nd Customer Review : Pretty cabinet, particle board material
The package took 75 minutes to open, 82 brass staples, very heavy, and two boxes, inner one with a womb of tape. They pack seriously in China :>) I put most of it together by myself (not bad for being old and having Parkinson's. I needed my nephew when we attached the doors and the upper shelves to the lower section prior to bringing it into the kitchen. I like it overall, I wish it were a bit deeper from front to back, but you can't fault the makers on that. they tell you what size it is and it fits perfectly with the width between the stove and the fridge and holds my microwave securely. I think it was fairly priced, well packaged, clear instructions of BOTH assembly and the hardware (helpful touch is the number of each piece of wood is on it with a sticker and the amount of each type of hardware is listed on the instruction sheet) and the letter for each is on it's separate ziplock bag. Home Source Industries did a pretty good job so far. I will write later if it doesn't...
3rd Customer Review : Tall Kitchen Cabinet
I ordered this cabinet specifically because it was 29 inces wide, a rather unusual width, as it was just the amount of open space I had available. I am very happy with this cabinet. I like that the middle section is open in back, so that it was very easy to set up a microwave there and to use the wall outlet I already had in place behind it. The unit itself is very commodious and I can fit a lot into the two bottom shelves and the two top shelves. While I would have liked a drawer, as the bottom shelves are so deep and high, I was able to fit in a three drawer plastic drawer set, so everything I would have put in a drawer could still be stored neatly. I read that this unit could be difficult to put together by oneself which wasn't actually a problem for me as I knew the people working on my kitchen renovation would be putting this together. It took two people working together to put this cabinet together, but the end result looks very good.

1st Customer Review : Ideal storage cart for kitchen appliances. Use a drill to assemble easily.
This is the perfect piece of furniture for the kitchen. We are able to keep a coffee maker on the top shelf and a full size microwave on the second shelf. I had a hard time finding another cart that would fit both. The slide out basket and bottom shelf provide even more storage than we need. It's completely functional, and takes up less space than I thought, blends nicely into the kitchen. Only took about 30 min to put together, but I recommend using a drill to save time/energy.

2nd Customer Review : Not great quality but looks nice anyway
Some of the parts were already chipped or scratched when they came in the box, but I didn't bother returning the item since they weren't too noticeable (and I was too lazy). Also, it was rather hard for me to assemble since the holes for the screws didn't match up evenly; plus the square parts that are supposed to connect the wheels to the bottom of the legs (the legs are hollow) didn't fit inside the legs all the way--I could only make them go in halfway, even with the aid of a hammer. Be careful when you tighten the screws and make sure you don't tighten them all the way; I did that for one of the legs and the paint around the screw hole chipped off completely! Overall, the quality isn't as good as I'd expected, and I'm not sure if it's worth the price. However, it does look nice, and the color goes well with my kitchen.

I have a small kitchen and needed something to hold my microwave, look nice, not take over the room, and fit under the window. This fits the bill. It was packed very carefully for shipping. I spent about 40 minutes putting it together. No curse words or tears were involved. (hint: Put the square piece on the floor and push (hard!) the leg down on to it. They pop in to place.) The top shelf is a perfect "work space". I like it.

The cart arrived on time. The cart was a little difficult to put together only because the items were not labeled and you had to try and figure things out.....Also I went by the picture on the box as to be the color of the item inside and ordered a table to match it.. Once I moved into my new place and opened up the box the color of the cart was way lighter shade then the picture....but I know that that is my fault for not opening the box and checking first. 1st Customer Review : Awesome little kitchen island
I absolutly love my new kitchen island. It is exactly what I needed. The wood is a beautiful color and goes perfect with my kitchen. It wasn't hard to put together, 20 minutes tops. It's solid wood, nothing cheap. It's not huge, but fits my appliances perfect. The middle and bottom shelf are not too tall. My coffee maker is bearly to big to fit so I put it on top. The best judgement I can give you in size is take a normal blender and take off the jar part and the machine base of the blender and it fits nice on the middle shelf and/or bottom shelf with a few inches to spare. So I fit my toaster, blender (both parts), and george forman on one shelf and my 2quart crock pot and rice maker on the bottom shelf. With my juicer and cofee maker on top because they are too tall to fit on the shelfs. I hope I gave you guys a good idea with size while explaining what I had on it. Over all good space saver while on a budget. I looked around and this to me is the best deal for the price.

I'm using the cart in my pantry to store and easily move my mixer, crock pot and electric frying pan ----no more heavy lifting, I just roll the cart to the counter and easily transfer the item I need.
The cart was fairly easy to assemble and is very sturdy.
We have not painted or stained the cart just yet.
I'm very happy with the cart, it is perfect for me.

I recently purchased this microwave cart and I am extremely pleased with it. My other cart was damaged in a move, so I went looking for a replacement......that in itself was an ordeal. I finally found this one and was quite shocked to find out that it was mostly (not 100%) true wood instead of OSB, and the price was extremely great (thanks Amazon and sorry for using extremely twice)! Assembly though was a bit of an operation....my daughter and I started it, but were quite thankful when my husband pitched in, as it was getting a bit heavy and awkward to handle. This is a well thought out and very nicely made piece of furniture. It is solid and very pretty assembled! Buy it, you won't regret it!
