2nd Customer Review : High Quality, Excellently Designed, Sooooo Handy & Functional, BPA DEBATE SETTLED!
I've owned these for about 6 months now so here's my Rubbermaid EasyFind containers 101 class:
~ Environmental considerations: I really like how these have helped me eliminate almost all use of 1-use plastic bags, tin foil, etc. and both the containers and lids are durable enough that they'll last for countless years.
~ UPDATE TO CLARIFY & SETTLE THE BPA DEBATE: Although independent labratory tests for Good Housekeeping found that the 'container portion' of these DO actually contain ''LOW LEVELS'' of BPA's, the report also explains that BPA's only transfer to foods durring cooking (like microwaving) AND the tests AFTER cooking in these concluded ''No detectable BPA or phthalates migrated from the products (containers)...'', AND ''...the chemicals did not leach into food during microwave heating''. Personally, I like so many things about these containers that if I had any remaining concerns about BPA's, I'd just transfer the food from the container to a plate or bowl before...
3rd Customer Review : Many Unusable Sizes
The actual functionality of the food storage containers is great. The snap lids are a really nice feature. However there are a couple issues not relating to the functionality but specifically this set. First, why doesn't this product just say 25 containers rather than 50 pieces. It seems like it can be deceptive for the hasty purchaser. That of course applies to all their container sets. My main issue is with the number unusable sizes in this package. Why does there need to be 6 of the condiment size containers (0.5 cup) I am guessing most people will not use this size... much less 6 of them at one time. The 1.25 cup size is almost just as unusable. It is not quite large enough to fit a lunch or any meal for the average person and again there are 6 of them! The containers most people would use the most are in quantities of 3. Why not 6? How about 2 of the tiny, 2 or 3 of the small, and 5 or 6 more of the decent sizes? Someone might be better off buying the smaller starter sets and...

1st Customer Review : Dangerous, glass chipped off sliced & my finger.
Update: Feb. 2013

Since I have made the comment below, I have decided to keep them for a while and cautiously check for more chips. I think the reality is that they are made of glass which has its nature property of breaking much easier than plastic containers. The tradeoff, however, is that glass would not emit plastic chemicals to our food. I also have Pyrex glass containers and eventually one of them chipped as well and I also got a cut from when I was trying to wipe it dry.

I know it sound obvious that glass is not like plastic containers, but I'm since most of us are use to Tupperware and Rubbermaid containers, we probably got use to treating the glassware the same way.

Anyway, the containers work well overall (other than a few bandaids needed). They seal well so I can take my soup to work without the fear of spill in the commute.

This is a nice set of tempered glass containers with plastic snap lids. 20 piece means 10 containers and 10 lids. Here's the rundown

What You Get:

2 small rectangular 1 1/2 cup containers
1 medium rectangular 3 1/2 cup container
2 small square 1 1/2 cup containers

I assumed "dishwasher safe" meant that this product was safe to put in the dishwasher. However, some of the lid clips warped even on the top rack and will no longer snap around the glass containers. Also, a couple of the containers are a little too small to be useful even for someone who lives alone. I wanted to like this product much more than I do.

I have 6 of these. Why? I used them for making individual pudding desserts, store leftovers that are just countless to name, I put my cereal in it to take to work and add milk to it later. I will put my leftover supper in it to take to work the next day and microwave at lunch. GOTTA TAKE THAT LID OFF BEFORE MICROWAVE. Cover with papertowel. Comes with lids that are airtight and will not leak if tipped over. Pyrex glass is what every home should have.

2nd Customer Review : Perfect for Lunches at Work
My wife and I love to take lunches to work in these dishes. They work great in the microwave--unlike the phony knockoffs from Anchor that you can get at Wal-Mart. Pyrex is the real deal. You can microwave the bowls and lids from a frozen state with no problems at all. Don't try that with the Anchor version of this bowl. The Anchor lids get all deformed in the microwave (even though they are supposedly microwavable). You cannot go wrong with Pyrex.

I must admit, I LOVE Pyrex. I generally do not like storing food in plastic containers so these are great. The Pyrex is sturdy, thick, resistant to chipping, etc. The lids are plastic so they fit snugly, keeping leftovers fresh and getting lunches to work unspilled. These come in a variety of sizes; I find the 2-cup ones good for leftovers and lunches. I also own some of the 1-cup ones and 4-cup ones.

1st Customer Review : Not quite what I expected
As a container, it's perfectly fine. The lid stays on and it's waterproof. However, the individual compartments are NOT waterproof, so if anything is remotely liquid the container must be kept level at all times to prevent mixing. In addition, it's bigger than I thought it would be (my mistake for not getting out my ruler), and so slightly less convenient than I hoped.

2nd Customer Review : Helps me keep organized and eat well
I bought 2 of these to help use up leftovers and send healthy food to work for our lunches. They are sturdy and do the job like a champ. I put a leftover in compartment #1 and freeze the unit, then as I have another leftover I addd it to compartment #2 and then #3. When it is full and I'm in the mood for what I have filled it with I bring in my own "free" TV dinner -- tastes better, is healthier and costs way less then the supermarket versions I was using. I microwave the bottom only, cover it with paper towel instead of the plastic top so I don't ruin the nice seal.

I purchased 3 of these great storage containers. They seal perfectly and stack together for easy storage. There is ample space to make plates of your leftovers. I have washed these many times and they still seal perfectly. However I have never microwaved it with the cover on or put them in the dishwasher. I plan on having them last a long time and any container will warp with constant dish washer or microwave use. If you are thinking of spending the money it is definitly worth it although these are now hard to find.

1st Customer Review : I'm a believer!
I originally purchased these on a very cynical whim. My mom had tried the "bags" which failed miserably so when I ran across this set I really had very low hopes. Well, here are my results:

So far I've had the same blueberries in one of these containers for THREE WEEKS. I purchased and washed them on July 19th, the day before a dinner party, put them in a Produce Saver bowl and put them in the refrigerator. Some were eaten at the party, many weren't. Today is August 10th and I guess I'm going to have to break down and make muffins with them or something because they're as fresh and plump today as they were 3 weeks ago.
Grapes stay so fresh in the large container (I buy 2 big bags at a time now) that after a week even their stems are still green. The grapes themselves are crisp and cold.
My strawberries lasted for a week the last time before they were finally all eaten. Not sure how long they would hold up as they are pretty popular. I just wash them, drain...

If you are like us you have grapes and blueberries in the fridge at all times. Before we were placing them in bowls with paper towels to suck up the moisture.

These containers are fantastic.

I've had a set of these for years (all three sizes, with a second small one bought separately). Given how good the Amazon price is, I just bought another set.

You've got to work with the boxes, and your fridge. If you've got a relatively damp fridge (more common with the side-by-side models, since there is often condensation on the freezer-side wall), make sure the produce is absolutely dry before storing it, or there will eventually be mold. If you have a relatively dry fridge, you might want to add a bit of water to the bottom of the box. What you're storing also matters - leafy greens have lots of surface area to lose water, carrots have a lot less, lemons have almost none (and an oily skin that prevents moisture loss - I actually refrigerate citrus without the lid, just with the grid to prevent mold). If I'm storing really delicate herbs like cilantro or dill, I'll put a damp paper towel over them in the box, or, if I'm feeling Martha Stuart-ish, stick the freshly cut...

1st Customer Review : Can also be used for regular oven baking, roasting, and microwave too! Not just storage
We were pleased to find that these containers can be used for some types of COOKING, not just for storage.

We like the convenience of containers that can be used for baking or microwaving, and then covered and used to store any leftovers, without scooping into different containers.

These containers do not have handles on the sides, so they can be tricky to grasp with potholders when removing from a microwave or regular oven. On the other hand, the lack of handles does allow these rectangular containers to use space efficiently in the refrigerator.

The paper labels/inserts indicate these Pyrex glass containers are oven safe (in a regular oven, preheated), and microwave safe, freezer safe, and dishwasher safe. However, like most Pyrex, they are NOT broiler safe, and should not be used on stove-top burners. There is also a warning against use in a toaster oven.

The plastic lids should not be used in a regular oven, of course. I assume we...

2nd Customer Review : BUYER BE CAREFUL
In case you haven't read the January issue of Consumer Reports yet, let me summarize: Corning sold Pyrex to World Kitchen, who is using cheaper glass which makes it more likely to shatter from heat. The European Pyrex still uses the traditional Pyrex formula and is as heat-resistant as ever. Consumer Reports says: "We baked at least five samples of each brand in a 450-degree oven. All of the U.S. Pyrex and Anchor dishes shattered when placed on the wet countertop. None of the European dishes ... broke"
3rd Customer Review : ALL-TIME BEST, cook and store!!!
These are THE BEST refrigerator dishes!!! The big one holds a LOT (almost three quarts), but, because of its flat shape takes up very little room in the fridge, where the whole set stacks nicely. The size range couldn't be better. In the cabinet, they nest for storage, and they last forever. I bought my first set about 20 years ago, and I've given sets as gifts. You can bake in them in both oven and microwave, serve, freeze or refrigerate. Does it get any better? Yes! The rectangular shape fits more efficiently into cabinets, refrigerators and freezers, where round shapes are space wasters, and space is often at a premium.
