The racks rest within a 2-inch-deep tray, which collects all the fat drippings as bacon cooks so the meat is not sitting in its own grease as with stovetop frying. And, as opposed to pan-frying, there is no splatter involved when cooking bacon in the microwave. Simply place a paper towel over the racks and it captures any grease and keeps microwave walls clean. The wraparound handle makes it easy to remove the PowerCrisp from a microwave turntable and dispose of hot drippings without burning hands. Slotted tops on the two plastic racks allow you to slide a knife through the racks to remove cooked bacon. The PowerCrisp cooks up to 10 strips of bacon at a time and both racks and the bottom tray are completely dishwasher safe for easy cleaning. 1st Customer Review : One of the best gifts I ever received
As I rapidly roar toward middle-age, I have not been paying as much attention to my diet as I should. Then on my forty-something birthday, my friend gave me this Presto 05100 PowerCrisp Microwave Bacon Cooker. It was one of the best gifts I've ever received. Besides removing unhealthy grease and fat from my bacon, it actually is neater and more convenient than using a frying pan. But health, convenience and neatness be darned! The bacon tastes great! This is a great product.

2nd Customer Review : terrific product
I've used the Presto Microwave Bacon Cooker for several years and I never make bacon any other way anymore. It is very fast and very easy to clean up. After long-time use, and we use it several times each week, the plastic racks for the bacon tend to curve a bit from the heat and the weight of the bacon so they need to be replaced because the bacon is now longer that the plastic rack and it is harder to keep it out of the grease dripping off. But the bacon cooker is so inexpensive that we just buy a new replacement unit.

This Presto bacon cooker is GREAT! I have tried several in the past and was never happy with any of them. I love this one. Cooks the bacon well and clean up is wonderful. This is what I'll be giving as Christmas and wedding gifts this year.

1st Customer Review : Nordic 9X9 Bacon Tray Review
I bought this bacon tray specifically to fit in my tiny microwave oven. As a user of other bacon trays throughout the years I am big fan of the way this tray and others like it cook the bacon and allow the grease to drain off. I am similarly pleased with the way this tray performs in that respect. However, that being said, the size of the tray is the biggest drawback. Regular pieces of bacon hang over the side (although they generally shrink through the cooking process). I recommend centercut bacon for this tray as it is generally a shorter cut of pork and fits more easily on the tray. The maximum amount of bacon you will be able to cook at a time is 6 pieces and that is really pushing it 4 pieces is better. This tray is suitable for small microwave ovens and small output.

This cooks bacon crisp without any mess or spatter. Just place a couple of paper towels over the bacon. I was using my George Foreman grill, but this is easier to clean.

This is the second bacon tray I've purchased. The only thing I don't like about this one is that the corners are hard to get clean (the corners in the collection tray). other than that this tray is perfect.

1st Customer Review : Microwaved bacon? YES!
The Microwavable Large Bacon Cooker is an extremely welcome kitchen addition for a family who rates bacon above Filet Mignon in the "favorite food" department. Bacon cooks crispy in a short amount of time and the pan cleans with ease. A paper towel over the bacon keeps the microwave neat and spatter-free. It is dishwasher safe but not necessary to waste electricity for an item that is so easy to wipe clean with a little soap & h2o and no elbow grease. Think I'll take a 3-minute break from this review and make some bacon!

1st Customer Review : Very good, practical idea
I bought one of these for my mom after seeing her prepare bacon in the microwave for an otherwise simple lunchtime sandwich. This thing is a great little idea; no splattering grease, no nasty paper towels or anything left behind. For her particular microwave (800w I believe; quite small), it came out to about one minute per slice to achieve the desired result.

I have read other reviews saying to be careful about burning the device; I can understand that, as it does get fairly hot in the microwave. Plus, it requires a little different method to cook. I found that, after six minutes in the microwave, the slices of bacon weren't quite as crisp as we wanted, but after leaving them to sit in the cup for a couple of minutes while doing other things in the kitchen, they crisped-up well. I believe the delay is due to the enclosed nature of the device holding more moisture inside. Let the bacon air out for a minute after cooking and it seems to be just right.

This works like it is intended to, but the first use, the plastic tray you set the bacon on started to melt in small areas. My husband thought that the handle was attached to the cup and released it to spill all over the floor. I wish the cooker was ceramic. CrispyClean

1st Customer Review : Great with one little problem
This cooker works great the only problem is that when you go to remove the bacon with a butter knife sometimes it will stick and break the bacon slice and it will fall into the drip pan. Other than that this is used daily for my kids breakfast and my wife loves using it to make BLTs. If you are a bacon lover as we are I recommend you get this.
