1st Customer Review : PERFECT at a great price!!!
I just received these and they were what I was expecting and hoping for. I have been looking forever to find such bowls. They are lightweight melamine with great fitting lids. Dishwasher AND microwave safe! Perfect nesting sizes in lovely colors. And I don't have to worry about dropping and breaking them. These are perfect for me, and at a very good price!

2nd Customer Review : Fun bowls that can go in microwave
I do a lot of cooking photography on my blog and really wanted to find some colored bowls that would be interesting to look at. I bought a set of these several months ago and have been completely happy. I tend to avoid ceramic bowls because they are so heavy and eventually break because they're dropped on my tile floor. I was hoping for plastic but it's been hard to find anything other than melamine WHICH I HATE. Melamine can't go in the microwave (a total pain!) and is difficult to get clean without a lot of elbow grease. These bowls are listed as melamine but I don't think they are. I have used mine in the MW and they are great. They clean up beautifully and are not heavy at all. Some people might consider them a smidge flimsy but I like them. Who says heavier=better? The nice shiny finish gives these bowls the appearance of porcelain or ceramic in photos, so it's a win-win for me.

3rd Customer Review : Great bowls
It is REALLY hard to find colorful bowls that also have lids (and colorful lids, to boot). These are those bowls. Could they be thicker? Sure. But these are perfect for me. I see another reviewer mentioned the lids don't stay on. I thought so, too, at first. Then I realised I had to go around the edge pressing firmly until I hear it pop into place. Once I did that, I was able to pick a full bowl up just by the tab on the the lid and that sucker didn't budge. Good and tight! It took me a long time to find the sort of bowls I had pictured in my mind, and I'm glad I held out until I did. Very pleased.
