1st Customer Review : Microwave Mug
I purchased two of these mugs to make coffee & hot tea, after noticing my ceramic mugs beginning to crack a bit. My wife & I have been pleasantly surprised by the durability of these mugs while being heated to extreme temps in microwave. The lid is accurately designed to be not air tight, allowing slight venting at high temps. The lid seals so well, that microwaving time is exactly 1/2 the usual time for same amount of liquid, in the same size mug. The exterior of the mug is not too hot to handle, while the liquid inside can reach temps too hot to drink immediately. The lid keeps the temps inside hot longer than any other mug/lid I've ever used.
The mug is light weight and lid snaps off easily. I've used one of these mugs 30 times and it remains unblemished and unstained. What amazes me is how easy it is to clean, actually it only needs to be rinsed out. I've never seen a stain after repeated high temp uses. I does the job and more. Considering what I paid, I'm very happy with this purchase.
I heated my soup at work & home in it. The Microwave got it HOT with no spills or any unexpected events.
This is not an airtight container, so don't use it for transporting liquid, it's not intended for that.
